Apply for chemistry study grants

The Chemistry Research Foundation supports deserving students studying for master’s degrees in chemistry at the University of Strasbourg. Every year it allocates study grants, each for an amount of up to €7,500, which can be renewed for a student’s second year depending on their profile. Thank you to all those who have donated, either through their business or personally; your contributions are crucial to the day to day and future lives of our students. Since 2009, no fewer than 30 students have received these grants based on social factors and excellence, and that is down to you!

La campagne 2017-2018 des bourses d’études de chimie est à présent terminée !

Rendez-vous en juin 2018 pour le lancement de la prochaine campagne !

Témoignage

« I completed all my higher education at the University of Strasbourg. I began with a degree in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with the aim of becoming a secondary school chemistry teacher. However, after completing a brilliant work placement in a lab, I decided to undertake a Master’s in Organic Chemistry.

During the course, I was supported by a grant from the Chemistry Research Foundation. The grant gave me financial independence for both years of my Master’s. As I was able to concentrate fully on my studies, I did really well both years and then received a doctoral grant from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. I then completed my PhD on polymers in Strasbourg.

I’m now a post-doctoral research associate at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA, where I work on the chemistry of plastic polymers. »
